Bond School + CFIP Designation This online, self-paced program is comprised of seventeen foundational courses that cover the basics and shed light on frequently misunderstood bond market concepts and practices. Bond School graduates who pass the final exam and meet additional requirements can earn the Certified Fixed Income Practitioner Designation.

Certified California Municipal Treasurer (CCMT) The California Municipal Treasurer’s Association has partnered with Fixed Income Academy and the CFA Institute to offer this designation. Individuals will gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the broader financial and the fixed income markets, in addition to learning best practices for investing and managing public funds. This designation is earned by completing the CFA Institute Investment Foundations™ program and Fixed Income Academy’s online Bond School plus 8 hours of CMTA Specialized Training.
After completing Bond School, individuals who pass the final exam and meet additional requirements can earn the Certified Fixed Income Practitioner Designation in addition to the CCMT.

Certified Government Investment Professional Designation (CGIP)
Government Investment Officers Association (GIOA) has partnered with Fixed Income Academy to develop 20 new courses in this online, self-paced program specifically for individuals responsible for managing or supervising government investment portfolios.

Can I earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits?
Yes. We are a registered sponsor of CPE credits with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). All of our programs are developed in accordance with NASBA standards to ensure the highest caliber, innovative continuing professional education for lifelong learning. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credits.
How much do the programs cost?
Bond School - $995 for students, governments and non-profits, $1650 for corporate and for-profit entities. Contact us for group pricing for teams of 5 or more.
CCMT - $25 Application fee + $200 CFA program + $995 Bond School + $160* CMTA Specialized Training (*approximation)
CGIP - $1500; current CFIP designation holders receive a discounted rate of $1000.
Do you offer any discounts?
We recently lowered our Bond School rate for students, governments, and non-profits. We also offer group pricing for teams of 5 or more. Current CFIP designation holders receive a discounted rate for the CGIP program.
When can I enroll?
New sessions begin each quarter (first of January, April, July, and October) but enrollment is always open. To get the most of your enrollment period, we suggest registering before or shortly after the beginning of each quarter.
How long do I have to complete the program?
Bond School - 1 year from session beginning date (enrollment dates are listed on the registration form).
